Vincent Lee Stewart, Jr. was the third born of five children to the late Florence Eloise and Thomas Lee Stewart on January 3,1955 at Bergstrom Air Force Base in Austin, Texas. As a son of an Army Serviceman, Vincent and his siblings grew up traveling the world with their parents. He lived on 3 continents (United States, Asia and Europe) and traveled through or lived in the majority of the 50 United States.

As a young man, Vincent met and married the love of his life, Cookie. Their love brought 3 beautiful children into the world – Jason Dee, Brandon Jarod and Tia Shanice. Their union has endured 52 years of marriage and from their 3 children, Vincent was blessed with a family legacy of 9 cherished grandchildren whom he loved and adored wholeheartedly.

He had a deep love for life and enjoyed simple pleasures such as fishing, watching sports – especially cheering for the Dallas Cowboys – dancing and singing (off key and off beat!). Vincent cherished family gatherings filled with laughter, barbeques, playing chess and good food. Known as a jokester and “the life of the party”, Vincent’s free spirit and joyful personality left a lasting impression on everyone he met. He truly loved family with his whole heart and this included his nieces, nephews and close friends. Vincent was a loving father, devoted husband a doting grandfather, cousin, uncle and friend. He was a courageous man who truly enjoyed live and brought joy to others. His laughter was infectious and his smile warmed your heart. Vincent was a protector of those he loved and had a tenderness about him that he did not like to show…but was always there.

Vincent was preceded in death by his parents Thomas and Eloise Stewart and his siblings, Jacqueline, Lowell and Bernard (Byron). He leaves to cherish his memory his wife of 52 years, Cookie Stewart; his children, Jason Stewart (daughter in love – Jessica), Brandon Stewart (daughter in love – Taylor) and Tia Stewart; his 9 grandchildren, Brandon Stewart, Jr., Theodore Jones, Thomas Stewart, Barron Stewart, Benjamin Stewart, Tabitha Stewart, Kwasi Green, Zoe Stewart, Destiny Parker.
