With profound sadness and hearts filled with love, we announce the passing of Marvin Jamal Lee, who departed this life on July 18, 2026, at the age of 29.
Marvin was born on March 11, 1997, to Mack Lee and Lisa Harps Espinoza. From the moment he entered this world, he brought joy to those around him with his infectious smile, kind heart, and genuine spirit. Marvin had a gift for making people laugh and a personality that made everyone feel welcome. His warmth, humor, and caring nature will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him.
Marvin attended East Central High School, where he proudly graduated with the Class of 2016. During his high school years, he was an active member of the football team and participated in ROTC, demonstrating discipline, teamwork, and school pride. Following graduation, Marvin attended South Texas Careers School, where he pursued training in welding, preparing himself for a skilled trade and a bright future.
Throughout his working years, Marvin was known for his strong work ethic and willingness to serve others. He was employed at Lone Star Bakery and also worked as a hotel valet, where his friendly personality and dependable nature left a lasting impression on coworkers and guests alike.
Outside of work, Marvin embraced life with enthusiasm and enjoyed spending time doing the things that brought him happiness. He loved skateboarding, playing pool, and spending warm Texas days floating the river on tubing trips with family and friends. Above all, Marvin’s greatest pastime was playing video games. Whether competing online or enjoying a game with those closest to him, it was one of his favorite ways to relax, connect, and create lasting memories.
Marvin treasured his family above all else. His love for them was unwavering, and he found great joy in spending time with those who meant the most to him. His laughter, compassionate heart, and unforgettable presence will forever remain a cherished part of their lives.
He leaves to cherish his precious memory his loving parents, Mack Lee and Lisa Harps Espinoza; his beloved siblings, LaShinia James (Hilton), Elgin Harps, Lisa Harps, Marsha Brooks, Melanie Lee, and Mack Lee; his close and devoted cousin, Quinesha Williams; his cherished nieces and nephews; along with a host of aunts, uncles, cousins, extended family members, and countless friends who will miss him dearly.
Although Marvin’s life was far too brief, the love he shared and the memories he created will live on forever in the hearts of those who knew him. His legacy is one of kindness, resilience, laughter, and love. As we celebrate his life, we take comfort in knowing that his spirit will continue to shine through the lives he touched.
