KERRY W. BRYANT, SR.

September 27, 1966 ~ March 19, 2020

"My legacy doesn't matter. It isn't important that I be remembered. It's important that when I stand before the Lord, He says, 'Well done, good and faithful servant."

On the morning of March 19, 2020, God called his faithful servant, Kerry Wayne Bryant, Sr. to be in his Heavenly Home. Kerry accepted the call and was released from his pain and suffering in this lowly world. Kerry is preceded in death by his father, John Wesley Bryant, his brothers Ronald Lee Thomas and Dwayne Wesley "Dino" Bryant.

Kerry was born on September 27, 1966 to his lovely parents, John W. Bryant and Dorothy M. Bryant in San Antonio, TX. Kerry began his education at Randolph AFB Elementary School and graduated as a Cherokee at Sam Houston High school in l984. Kerry was the Percussion Section Leader for the marching band and a musician for the Jazz Band. And, he served as a Company Commander with the rank of Captain-03 in JRROTC.

Following his graduation, he met Dionne L. “Tricey” Lewis and the two moved to North Carolina. On June 24, 1990, God blessed the two to be loving parents to their only son, Kerry Wayne “Kwayne” Bryant, Jr. In May 1996, he completed his associates in computer science at Guilford Tech Community College in Jamestown, North Carolina. Kerry has worked in Information Technology for 25 years, with his first job at Bristol-Meyers Squibb in North Carolina and his last job at Brooke Army Medical Center in San Antonio.

Kerry began his Christian journey as member of the New Light Baptist Church, having accepted Christ on August 26, 1973, under the pastorage of Dr. P.S. Wilkinson, Sr. When he moved to Kernersville, NC as a young adult, he attended Ambassadors for Christ Cathedra Revivals Inc under the late Overseer Bishop Gilbert E. Patterson and with Pastor Odom. When Kerry moved back to San Antonio, TX in 2000, he became a member of New Hope Baptist Church where he served under Pastor Joshua Joubert. He was a faithful Deacon, the President of the Men of Hope Male Chorus, and he led the Media Ministry where he ran sound and worked the camera system.

Matthew 5:4 says, "Blessed are they that mourn: for they shall be comforted." To cherish Kerry's memories, may God comfort his Mother: Dorothy M. Bryant; his loving son: Kwayne Bryant of Atlanta, GA; siblings: Kenneth Janell Bryant (Cyndi) of Honolulu, Hawaii and LaToya Oshodi (Leonard) of Dallas, TX; Uncles: Joe Jennings (Veronica), Detroit, Michigan and Rev. Jams Bryant, Sr. (Joyce); Aunts: Jerriette Bryant Taylor, Jocelyn Bryant Hemphill (Harry). He leaves a host of admiring nieces and nephews who will miss their "Uncle". Also, cherishing his memories are cousins, close friends, and co-workers.

Kerry has joined that innumerable Heavenly Caravan for his work here on Earth is done and his life Crown is won.
