Memories Timeline

Guestbook

  1. To the Hadnott Family:

I would be remiss if I didn’t express my sincerest condolences again. While I learned of Ms. Hadnott’s passing after the funeral, and expressed my sympathy at that time, I feel beholden to extend my sentiments and memories of her again. Ms. Hadnott was one of the most beautiful, brilliant, benevolent, classy, compassionate and gifted persons that I have ever known. She taught me piano, entered me in piano competitions, and arranged piano recitals for me during her Sweeny Texas GW Carver tenure. Furthermore, she served as pianist- director at my wedding in 1974. Regrettably, we didn’t communicate often nor keep in touch regularly throughout the years; however, I have always viewed her as my fairy godmother and surrogate mom, someone that still resonates in my psyche today as an exceptional, one-of-a kind special person. I will cherish memories of this honorable lady forever!

    With deepest sympathy,
    Catherine (Williams-Simien) Alexander
