BENNETTA COLEMAN

January 23, 1953 ~ May 29, 2022

Bennetta Coleman, 69, of San Antonio, Texas, passed away May 29, 2022.

She was born to Bennie and Marietta Moore on January 23, 1953, in San Francisco, California.  Bennetta graduated from Immaculate Conception Academy in 1971 and received a Bachelor of Arts degree in Sociology from the University of San Francisco in 1975.  She met the love of her life and married Ronald Coleman in 1977, they lived together in San Antonio for forty five years. Bennetta is survived by her husband: Ronald Coleman, two children: Terence Coleman, of San Diego; Shayla Hobbs, of Dallas. She is also survived by her mother: Marietta Moore; sister: Ingrid Moore; and three grandchildren: Anthony Coleman (8), Leila Coleman (5), and Journey Hobbs (2).

Bennetta was an extraordinary wife, a wonderful mother, and a faithful Christian.  She loved to laugh and listen to music, Luther Vandross in particular.  She enjoyed spending time with her children, family and friends.  She emphasized the importance of education to her children and said “anything worth having is worth working for”.  Bennetta was immensely proud of her family and leaves behind nothing but beautiful memories.

A celebration of life ceremony will be held on Tuesday, June 7, 2022 at 11 a.m. at the New Life Christian Center of San Antonio. Texas.
