Anthony Lee Hennessee, lovingly known to many as “Tony,” passed away peacefully on May 3, 2026, in San Antonio, Texas,
surrounded by the love of his family. He was 70 years old.
Born on May 23, 1955, in Houston, Texas, Anthony was the beloved son of Henry Lee Holcomb and Willie Mae Hennessee. He
was raised into manhood by Leo Howard, who served as both father figure and mentor throughout his life.
Anthony proudly served his country in the United States Army, carrying himself with honor, strength, and dedication. After his
military service, he pursued many passions and talents throughout his life. He became known as a skilled handyman and mechanic,
while also sharing his love for music as a Disc Jockey (DJ). While maintaining his respected status within the community as a highly
sought-after DJ, handyman, and mechanic, Anthony remained devoted to his faith, beliefs, and values by becoming a dedicated
member and Deacon at Rising Star Missionary Baptist Church in San Antonio, Texas.
Anthony lived life boldly and fully. He loved music, laughter, and bringing joy to those around him. He had a generous heart, a warm
smile, and a spirit that naturally drew people in. One of his greatest passions was supporting his community and encouraging others
through compassion and kindness.
Anthony was preceded in death by his father, Leo Howard; his mother, Willie Mae Hennessee-Howard; his son, Anthony “Lil
Anthony” Brian Hennessee-Davis; and his grandson, Derrick “Woo” Anthony Johnson.
Above all, Anthony treasured his family. He leaves behind a legacy of love through his children: sons Jordan, Delton, and Christopher;
daughters Dana and Sheree; and fiancée Beverly Broadnax. He is also survived by a host of grandchildren, cousins, extended family
members, and dear friends who will forever cherish his memory.
Though our hearts are heavy with sorrow, we find comfort in knowing that Anthony’s love, wisdom, faith, and unforgettable spirit
will continue to live on in all who knew and loved him.
