from Richmond, Va, thank you for sharing his obituary in the Richmond Times Dispatch. Though I never knew him, his service to our country is most appreciated. Barbara Shocket
Barbara Shocket. Thank you for taking the time to send a message. A wonderful, husband, father, brother, USAF Veteran and Christian transitioned from Earth to Heaven. My siblings and I miss our father, but we know GOD is taking great care of him. He is with our mother, his parents, his siblings and we know that when we pass on, we will see our father again in Heaven. I am a Christian and I trust GOD daily with my life and I love him so much. Take care.
Lord GOD, allow your compassion to comfort your weak, broken children – my siblings and I. Wipe my tears as I find comfort and cry, praying that your light would allow me to stay strong despite the struggle. Allow my father’s passing to remind me not to doubt every word you say and trust in your love and promise. Bless us with your words and help us patiently wait for the morning filled with comfort and the absence of pain and corruption in different ways. I praise you daily, Lord, and I wake up every daybreak and rejoice in every hour that I experience your mercy and the warmth of your words. These prayers for the loss our father I offer through your Son, Jesus Christ. Amen.
