STANLEY ARVAN WARREN, II

October 15, 1971 ~ July 10, 2024

Stanley Arvan Warren II, was born in San Antonio, Texas, October 15, 1971. He was the third child of four children and only son born to Stanley Arvan Warren Sr. and Wilda Mosley Warren, who preceded him in peace along with infant nephew Shane Washington.

Stanley came to know Christ at a very early age under the leadership of the late Rev. Claude W. Black Jr. and grew in his faith throughout his life. He was committed to his faith and family and trusted God on July 10, 2024 when God called him home.

Stanley was united in Holy Matrimony to Tamara Lynn Wilson on November 27, 1998. They spent 25 loving, happy years together. The couple have a daughter DeAndria LaJanae Wilson.

"Stan Tha Man", as he was affectionately known was a well-appreciated Master Barber in San Antonio, Texas.

Stanley's quiet nature drew many to him. However, he could arouse laughter to many. He treated everyone with respect and was respected by all.

He began his barbering career at My Place Barber and Beauty and later opened up Lasting Impressions Hair Salon (owned with sister Bridgett), Stan Tha Man's Barbershop, and more recently Creative Cuts by Stan Tha Man. Stan's cuts could be described as a work of art with the love and care he put into his craft.

In his spare time Stan enjoyed smoking meats, and hosting family events with his wife Tamara and close friends. His brisket was world class. He also loved fishing.

Stanley's loving spirit is carried on by his devoted wife Tamara, daughter DeAndria (Anthony), granddaughter Olivia Joie, sisters Arvette Franklin, Monique Williams (Anthony), and Bridgett Campbell (Kevin), in-laws John and Thelma Wilson, sister-in-law Alicia Wilson, nieces Leisha Washington and Brittnee Rogers, nephews DeMarcus Warren (Britny), James Washington, Davante Wilson (Monica) and Kevin D. Campbell, aunts, uncles, God son Braxton Mosely Prince, dear friends Raven, Chrishelle and Johnny Mosely, Pershama Dailey and BreAna Powell and a host of family and friends. He will be sorely missed on this side, but we know that he is resting with the Lord.

  1. My thoughts and prayers are with the family. Stan was a great friend to my brother. He will truly be missed.

  2. We would like to extend our condolences to the family. Stan was always a pleasure to be around. He fit in perfectly with our family the minute he married my cousin Tammy. My mother really liked him and they’re amongst the Pearlie Gates and streets of Gold celebrating Eternal Life! Until we meet again….R.I.P.

  4. Stan gave both of my sons their first haircut. He was a gentle soul and always even tempered. I met Stan at My Place. He cut my entire families hair for years. He was a great barber. My sincere condolences to the family. May the Lord keep in perfect peace.

  5. Stan was my barber before the Pandemic put everyone in limbo. I think the quiet, dignified environment of his business was a reflection of his character. “Well done good and faithful servant”, rest in eternal peace.
