SHIRLEY JEAN CLIFTON

Shirley Jean Clifton was born to the late Claude King and Florence Marshall on June 27, 1950, in Valdosta, GA. Shirley was the oldest of 5 children: Tonny Marshall, Joseph Marshall, Don Marshall and James Marshall. Shirley was a part of a military family and spent her childhood years in Georgia, Spain, Texas, and California.

Shirley joined the United States Army in 1969 and proudly served her county for 6 years. During her enlistment, she was stationed at military posts in Germany, California, and Japan. Shirley married James Clifton in 1973 and started her family shortly thereafter and had a daughter Constance, and son Kevin.

Shirley was a loving mother and amazing person. She was the light of the room and enjoyed teaching, dancing, drawing, cooking, and having a good time.

On Wednesday May 3, 2023, Shirley Jean Clifton was called home to her Lord and Savior. Shirley was preceded in death by her son Kevin James Clifton. She leaves to cherish the memory of her life with daughter Constance (Nick), grandchildren Kevin, Giana, Dylan James and Kelly Jean. Shirley will be deeply missed. May her soul forever rest in peace.
