SHERMAN WEBSTER SHEPPARD, JR.

October 3, 1968 ~ March 10, 2025

Sherman W. Sheppard Jr. was born on October 3, 1968 to Sherman (Webster) Sr. and Ada Mae Sheppard in San Antonio, Texas. Sherman graduated from Marion High School in 1987 and enlisted in the US Army immediately following graduation. Sherman did two tours in Iraq earning him a bronze star and a combat action badge.

His biggest accomplishment was ensuring each member of his units returned home to their families. Sherman served his country for 20 years retiring in 2008.
Sherman (Shep) passed away peacefully on March 10, 2025 surrounded by loved ones.
Sherman leaves to cherish is memories his beloved wife Angela of 33 years; daughters Alethea (Michelle) and Cherese, three granddaughters Amaria, Paige and Faith, one grandson Donovan, parents Sherman (Webster) Sr and Ada Mae, siblings Jackie, Pat (Sharon) and Chris (Jennifer), aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews.
Sherman lived a life filled with kindness, laughter, and unwavering love for family and friends.
Sherman touched the lives of everyone he met. He was a country boy at heart and found joy in hunting and fishing.
Sherman's spirit will live on in the hearts of all who knew and loved him. He will be forever loved.

  10. I’m just now hearing this heartbreaking news.
    I had the honor of serving two tours in Iraq with SSG Sherman Sheppard, and I can truly say he was an exceptional Soldier and a great man. My thoughts and prayers are with his family, friends, and all who knew and loved him.
