Sister Ruthie Mae Fryer was born November 5, 1936. She went home to be with the Lord on December 15, 2022.
Ruthie was born in 1936 in Weldon, Texas to Tobe Jackson and Dorothy Jackson. She was the oldest of 2 children.
In 1955 Ruthie graduated from Dickinson High School in Weldon, Texas. She married Lawrence A. Fryer on April 4, 1958, to this union 6 six kids were born: Patricia Ann Lyons, Cheryl Ann Nunez, Florence Y. Moore (Floyd F. Moore III), Kathy L. Lee (EC Lee), Ricky Lawrence Fryer (Julianne Fryer), and Victor A. Fryer
Ruthie was a member of Antioch Missionary Baptist Church. She was a devoted wife, mother, and grandmother. Ruthie worked several years in the medical field as Certified Nursing Assistant. Ruthie loved attending church, spending time with her family, and watching movies. Ruthie was always willing to use her skills learned in the medical field for to those in need.
Ruthie is survived by 5 kids: Patricia Ann Lyons (San Antonio, Texas), Cheryl Ann Nunez (San Antonio, Texas), Florence Y. Moore (Cibolo, Texas), Kathy L. Lee (San Antonio, Texas), Ricky Lawrence Fryer (Tumwater, Washington), 10 grandchildren, and 19 great grandchildren, 4 great great grandchildren and a host of family and friends. She was preceded in death by her husband Lawrence A. Fryer, brother Israel (Sonny) Jackson and son Victor Fryer.
