ROBERT MAURICE PROCTOR

July 16, 1952 ~ March 27, 2024

Robert Maurice Proctor affectionately known as “Bob” was born on July 16, 1952, in Verdun, France to Josephine and Walter Proctor. Robert remained in France until his family relocated to Washington, DC. Robert graduated from Mackin High School in May of 1971. Upon graduating from Mackin High School Robert enlisted in the military. He served in the Army, Marines and completed service with the Air Force in July of 1975. Robert then spent a short time working as a Bexar County Deputy and then began working Civil Service at Kelly Airforce Base as an Aircraft mechanic. In 1994 Robert resigned from Kelly Airforce base due to his physical health. On November 12, 1977, Robert married the love of his life Lynda Carol White and gained his first daughter Carole. To this union four children were born Le’Var, Sara, Troy, and Stephanie. Robert was a devoted husband and father. He accepted Christ in his life in 1996 and joined Lilly of the Valley Missionary Baptist Church. Robert served as a deacon, sang in the Men’s Chorus and worked on Building and Maintenance  committee of the church for 20 years until his health began to fail. He is always going to be remembered for his fashion and love of fragrance. He is proceeded in death by his parents Walter and Josephine, sister (Evelyn) and son (Le’Var). He leaves to cherish his memory his wife of 47 years Lynda, daughters Carole Jefferson (Anthony), Sara Perkins (Andrey), Stephanie Armstrong (Glen) son Troy Proctor(Liz) all residing in San Antonio TX. Brother Jean Pierre and sister Nancy Proctor of Maryland. Robert, also known as G-Daddy leaves seven grandsons Isaiah, Glen, Robert (Papi), Noah, Myles, Joshua, and Levi. Two granddaughters Exaiah and Glennaysha. His puppy and snack buddy Bishop as well as a host of other relatives and friends.

  1. Oh Papa Bear 🐻 Earned his wings 🪽 ! I met Papa Proctor in 2002 he was my bestfriend Stephanie’s dad, he was so quiet at times but also observant. He was always fresh and so wise he always knew when when we were up to no good! He loved Mama Bear (Mrs Lynda) with everything he has and he showed it! I use to say I wanted my husband to drive me around & open doors & just love me the way I saw him do it for Mrs Linda! My deepest condolences to the family especially Mrs Linda & my best good friend Stephanie Proctor! The bond you have w your parents is unmatched no matter what! REST IN HEAVEN POPS WE LOVE AND MISS YOU ALREADY DOWN HERE🫶🏽🙏🏽💋😇

Just wanted to Give my Love to Uncle Robert and really appreciate the times we had and how Grateful and honored to him as my Family member and Relative my Grandmother’s cousin Lois Lampkin .He always very kind and loving to me and my Cousins Troy Carol Sarah Stephanie.He will be forever missed but remembered forever.I LOVE YOU UNCLE and Appreciate all the Love you shown me in my Time of need..🕊 ♥ 🙏
