Robert D. Kibbett, affectionately known to family as "Uncle Robert" was born April 10, 1931 in Brackettville, Texas to George and Hattie Kibbett. He was the ninth child among the ten siblings, however he was the last living child. He graduated from Carver High School in Brackettville and upon graduation he joined the United States Army. He retired after thirty years of military service. Robert married Ardie Nunley and was married for thirty-nine years.
Robert was proud of his Seminole heritage and was just honored in Brackettville last year during Seminole day. Robert loved his family, regularly attending family reunions, birthday celebrations, and other family gatherings. And in his spare time he enjoyed fishing.
He was preceded in death by his parents, wife, five brothers and four sisters. He leaves to mourn his passing, four sisters-in-law, Jacqueline Evans of San Antonio, Texas, Ola Ruth Tadlock of Mt. Holly, New Jersey, Ida Ruth Nunley, and LaJo Nunley of Del Rio, Texas, numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and many dear friends.
Robert passed away peacefully at his residence in San Antonio, Texas on February 8, 2018.
