RET. TSGT ISAAC SINGLETON, SR.

Isaac Singleton, Sr. was born in New Orleans, Louisiana, on August 11, 1941, to the late Anita and Wilmer Singleton Sr.  From this union, Isaac was the second born of four children.

On Saturday, April 18, 2020, The Most High called Isaac home saying, well done my son; it’s time for you to come home and rest. Isaac graduated from Carver Senior High in 1959. After completing high school, he joined the U.S Air Force, where he served for 20 years. While serving Isaac received numerous medals and awards some of which included The Bronze Star, The Vietnam Service Medal, Defense Service Medal, and Air Force Outstanding Unit Award to name a few.

After retiring from the Air Force, Isaac returned to New Orleans, and worked at the United States Postal Service. Upon his retirement from The USPS Isaac relocated to San Antonio to be near his children.

Isaac leaves behind, to cherish his memories, his beloved and devoted wife Tamara Singleton, three children: Rome Rodriguez, Cynthia Johnson and Isaac Singleton Jr. a son-in-law Darrell Johnson, daughter-in-law Augusta Singleton. Four grandchildren: Vanessa, Mark, Nicole, and Monique, two great grandchildren, two godchildren-Chiara Singleton-Crowley and Isaac Nelson, mother-in-law Willa J. Williams, brother-in-law Johnnie L. Davis, and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends. After the loss of his youngest sister Rose, Isaac stepped up and raised his niece Chiara Singleton-Crowley and nephew Jermaine Singleton. He is also survived by two first cousins Yvonne Briggs and Kathryn White who remained close as siblings throughout his life.

 Isaac was preceded in death by his parents: Anita and Wilmer Sr., and siblings:  Wilmer Jr., Anita, and Rose.

Due to the current Coronavirus pandemic, the funeral service and interment will be private.
