Phyllis Bellinger

Phyllis Magnolia Bellinger was born on October 20, 1939 in New Braunfels, Texas to the union of Coleman and Mildred Johnson Burleson.

In 1945 hey mother relocated the family to San Antonio, Texas, where the entire family became faithful members of Emmanuel A.M.E. Church.

She united in matrimony to Allen Warren Bellinger in 1960. To this marriage three (3) children were born. Her husband's military service gave her and the children the opportunity to live all over the world, including Manila, Philippines, Avellino, Italy, Ogden, Utah, San Bernardino, California, and Denver, Colorado where 2 of her 3 sons were born.

After raising her kids through their adolescent years, Phyllis started a career in the insurance industry starting with St. Paul Insurance. She also worked for Nationwide Insurance before spending the last 10 years of her Career with USAA.

She was preceded in death by her youngest son, Craig, both parents, sister Cherry, and brothers, Coleman and Melvin.

Phyllis' greatest joy was her family, and she leaves to cherish her memory her husband, Allen; sons, Dyrol (Diane) and Mark; daughter in law Kelly; sister, Vivian; brother, Benjamin (Annette); grandchildren, Craig II and Valerie; nieces, nephews, and numerous other relatives and friends.
