OSCAR H. WHITE
October 4, 1946 ~ April 16, 2019
Oscar H. White was born October 4, 1946 to the union of Edward and Ella White in Charleston, South Carolina.
After graduating from high school at the age of sixteen, Oscar joined the Merchant Marines and traveled around the world. Shortly after joining the Merchant Marines, Oscar enlisted in the United States Army for a tour in Vietnam .
Oscar moved to San Antonio, Texas in 1969 to marry the love of his life, Jacqueline Marie Lawrence. From their union they had a daughter, Michele Antoinette White and a son Michael Anthony White.
Oscar attained a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Accounting from the University of Texas at San Antonio and a Masters Degree from Our Lady of the Lake University in San Antonio.
For 36 years Oscar worked for Tesoro Petroleum as a Certified Public
Accountant. Later he would work as an auditor for Texas Alcoholic
Beverage Commission for 11 years.
Oscar is survived by his devoted daughter, Michele White and loving
son Michael White. Oscar leaves an abundance of precious memories
to be cherished by his in-laws, nieces, nephews, friends and
acquaintances.

It’s natural to wonder why people die, especially when we lose someone close to us. The Bible says: “The sting producing death is sin.â€â€”1 Corinthians 15:56.The first humans, Adam and Eve, lost their lives because they sinned against God. (Genesis 3:17-19) Death was the only possible outcome of their rebellion against God, for with him is “the source of life.â€â€”Psalm 36:9; Genesis 2:17. Adam passed on the defect of sin to all his descendants. The Bible says: “Through one man sin entered into the world and death through sin, and thus death spread to all men because they had all sinned.†(Romans 5:12) All people die because they all sin.—Romans 3:23.God promises a time when “he will actually swallow up death forever.†(Isaiah 25:8) To remove death, he must eliminate its root cause, which is sin. God will do this through Jesus Christ, who “takes away the sin of the world.â€â€”John 1:29; 1 John 1:7
