MARY CLAIR SULLIVAN

Mary Clair Diggs was born September20, 1932 in Edna, Texas, to her parents, Russell and Carrie Diggs. She moved to San Antonio after marriage to Eartell Callis, Sr.

At an early age she accepted Christ. She was a member of Friendship Baptist Church for over 50 years and was a devoted member of Usher Board #1 until her health failed.

Mary is preceded in death by her parents, Russell and Carrie Diggs, husbands, Eartell Callis, Sr and Nathan Sullivan, siblings, JC, Randolph, Russell Jr., Alex, Sylvester Diggs and Clarice Williams.

Mary was a domestic housekeeper for private homes for many years. She also worked as a part time cashier at different grocery stores. The job she loved and cherished most was being a mom. She was one of the favorite moms in the neighborhood and helped raise many kids including her own six. She was loved by all of her grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces, and nephews.

Mary Sullivan departed this life on Tuesday, July 23, 2024.

Left to cherish precious memories are her loving children, Linda Callis, Sandra Smith, Eartell Callis, Jr., of Kileen, Texas; Bernard Callis (Carla), Boyd Callis (Robbie) and Bruce Callis, and loving stepchildren, Larry Sullivan (Naomi), Louis Sullivan, Dorothy Ellison, and Thelma Massie from Maryland. Also, she leaves her beloved sister Clara Brown, and a host of grandchildren, great grandchildren and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
