On August 2, 1978, a baby boy was welcomed into the world by Ella Fontenette and LeeRoy Bessard, who named him Marcus Joseph Fontenette. Marcus received his education in San Antonio and was known for tackling various tasks in the community with enthusiasm and pride.
His life was characterized by joy and laughter, as he was a person who radiated happiness and cherished moments spent with his family. Marcus was known for his humor and compassion, always willing to lend a helping hand to those in need. He possessed a gentle spirit and was a devoted father, son, brother, grandson, cousin, and friend.
The memories of Marcus will be eternally treasured by his mother, Ella Fontenette; his father, LeeRoy Bessard; his sister, Nicole Washington; and his brother, Micheal Fontenette. He is also survived by his children: Danika Fontenette, Reana Fontenette, Marcus Fontenette Jr., Paris Fontenette, Keyanna Reed and Markeesha Winn,as well as his grandchildren: Devon Stryjk, Davon Stryjk, Danya Winn, and Omari Green.
He was preceded in death by Martel Fontenette, Ja'Miyah Joseph, Mi'Kari Washington, Carrie Hardaway, Marshall Hardaway, and Carlene Ricks.
Marcus was a nice and respectful young man!
“If you needed help and asked Marcus, you could count on him with no hesitation and did it with a smile.”
My sincerest condolences to Marcus Family and Friends!
