JOHN LEWIS DAVIS

January 1, 1985 ~ February 14, 2019

In the Year of Our Lord 1985, on the most celebrated first day of January, John Davis was born to Wendall and Faye Davis. He was the third child of four. Stephen And Kristina Hughes were his older siblings and his baby brother Marques came last. John’s existence in this Life molded him into a Soldier and then A Centurion. The Bonds he created were life long. He made no enemies and lost no friends. John’s life went through a lot of turmoil. He prayed for change…  Kimberly Austin was the change John prayed for. With her help, he fought and faced his Demons… by the Grace of God, he conquered and crushed his Past choices that were taking him down the wrong path. His daily walk in his Journey was to Achieve support for her and his Family. He had asked her the question” If God is real, show me”. Together they changed his Life. Recently, John graduated and received his CDL. He then traveled Coast to Coast and he LOVED IT. From New York to California. Everyone was so proud of the man he had become and he was proud of himself. He made friends along the way. Teaching, learning, living. John seemed to touch everyone with his new love of life! His Truck was a Metaphor of his Life… Large and Bold… A force on a mission. John did what John does, he went to work.

Then, on 14 Feb 2019, he encountered a fatal obstacle on Life’s Road… and he started a new journey. John died providing for his family. John leaves his Wife, Kimberly, to chase his Dream, His oldest daughter, Kyhia, his first love. Her mother is Tishawna Hughes. His son, Javaugn, to carry his torch. His daughter, Jazelle, to remind us of his Mischievousness and Wisdom. His daughter, Jhene', to keep his Child like Love and Laughter Alive.

Faye & Clarence King mourn the loss of a Son, Devere & Michelle Peer mourn the loss of their beloved nephew,  Stephen Hughes, Kristina & Dennis Dingle and Marques & Maegan Davis mourn the loss of a brother, and a Warrior.

Sir John Lewis Davis is no more. He is gone from our Presence but his Valor touched our Souls. He will be missed & he will be continued to be loved.
