Jessie Mae McBrine, 89, of San Antoino, Texas, was called home to be with her Lord and Savior, on January 28, 2022.
Jessie Mae McBrine was born on February 27th, 1932, in Belvins, Arkansas. She was the first child born to Arthur and Bertha Caple. Jessie attended school at the Belvins Training High School in Belvins, Arkansas. She married James Stanton and through their union had two daughters: Janice Stanton and Joyce Morgan Vaughn. On January 30th, 1979, she would marry Clifford ‘Sunny’ McBrine Jr., during their union they became guardians to Darlene Leonard.
She worked in the culinary field for over 60 years as a cook and held several positions, working most notably at: Brittnay Buffett, Luby’s, St. Philips College, and Flying J.
She was a pillar of her community who served as a stewardess at Greater Ball Tabernacle A.ME. Church and founded their food bank. She was also an active member of the American Legion, Post 828.
She is preceded in death by her parents Arthur and Bertha Caple, her brother, Ellis ‘Bubba’ Caple, and her husband, Clifford McBrine Jr., her son-in-laws, Barell Morgan, Gregory Crisp, and Sherman Joyner.
She leaves to cherish her memory, her daughters, Janice Stanton, Joyce Morgan Vaughn (Russell), and Darlene Leonard (David); her goddaugther Gloria Greene; her grandchildren, David Stanton, Jessyca Eddy (Tyrell Sr.), Nolan McCray (Ciarra), Barell Morgan II (Ashley), Whitney Morgan, Jordan Morgan, Dylan Morgan (Asahi), Twyna Walton, Dornisha Leonard, LaToya Greene; granddaughters in-law, Anitra Johnson and Michelle Johnson; her great-grandchildren, Dee’Ashia Stanton, Keyairra Stanton, Tyanice Stanton, Brittany Lodge, Andre Johnson, Tyrell Eddy Jr., Jayla Eddy, Barell Morgan III, Noah Morgan, Demari Alston, Nolan McCray III, Noel McCray, Kennedy Morgan, Emani Morgan, Grace Morgan, Harmony Morgan, Lyrik Walton, Charles Francis, Hezekiah Smith, Jamya Wilson; great-great grandchildren, Ean Stanton, Annalyiah Stanton, Maleyah Abrielle; and a host of family and friends.
