Jeraldine Wade Roe (“Jerri and Dean”), 69, of Temple, Texas passed away at her home Sunday, August 11, 2024, in San Antonio, Texas. She was born October 12,1954 in Temple Texas. Jerri was the second child born into the family of Henry and Hattie D. Roe. Her family and friends described her as a sweet, kind and loving person. Her big smile would light up a room. She always made time for things that mattered. If you needed a helping hand or a prayer partner, you could count on her. Throughout her life she developed many lifetime friends.  At an early age, Jerri accepted Jesus Christ as her personal Lord and Savior. She was baptized in Grace Temple Christ Holy Sanctified Church in Temple, Texas.  As a child, Jerri loved playing and being included in the Lowe family activities. Subsequently, in 1973, she married her childhood friend Melvin Lowe; together they had Eric Paul Lowe. Jerri graduated with exceptional clerical skills from Temple High School. In 1983, Jerri and her son relocated to San Antonio, Texas. She used her proven administrative abilities to obtain work with USAA, Phoenix Carpet and Flooring, and San Antonio Water System (SAWS). After 32 years, Jerri retired from SAWS. She met Kenneth Bernard Stevens (It was love at first sight). They dated for five years, and in 2004 married. They belong to Dedicated Baptist Church, in San Antonio, where they enjoyed being a part of the church’s ministry. He was a Deacon and Jerri was a member of the choir, secretary of the adult Sunday school and secretary of the Womens Ministry and member of the food committee. Family holiday time and reunions were special for the Steven family. Jerri leaves us to reunite with her Father Henry Roe, her sister Linda Smith; brother Kenneth Roe; stepdaughter Patrice Stevens and her beloved husband Kenneth Stevens. Jerri is greatly missed by her surviving family, her beloved mother Hattie D.
