James was board president at SAISD when I was hired to lead the Board and Superintendent Office. I worked closely with him and the Board for many years. It was at least 5 years into my role when we discovered that he grew up with my parents and aunt! We checked in on each other from time to time even after I left the district. James will be missed. My deepest condolences to his family, friends, and his church family! Rest well James! Thank you for always reminding me that you believed in me and that you hired me lol! ❤️
James “Mush Mouth” Howard was a very amiable brother and friend since 1975. He was very generous with both his wisdom and humor. Always looked forward to seeing him at PVAMU Homecomings which he frequented much!If I had a dime for the wisdom and humor offerings , I’d be very rich $$$$, but richer yet I am for having known him! Rest in Heaven Brother Howard . You’ll be surely missed.
