Irma Jean Adams, a child of God, was called home to glory on November 5, 2024. Irma was born in San Antonio, TX, to Nettie Mae and Hebert Lee Adams. Irma’s life was a testament to her unwavering commitment. She was preceded in death by her father Hebert Adams and sister Norma Jean.
Irma Jean was a passionate seamstress; she loved using her creative skills for fashion. She had a gift for decorating and planning. In addition, she enjoyed volunteering every year for fifteen years on behalf of Macon Church for various types of cancer walks.
Irma Jean piloted her career at Kelly Airforce Base and after that, she transferred to Waren Robins, GA where she lived for twenty-five years. Her professional achievements included her dedication to the Department of Defense for thirty-five years. She retired from her Civil Service career proudly.
Irma Jean’s memories will always be cherished by her son Michael (Christina), her mother Nettie Mae, sister Dorothy (Tommy) Hopkins, brothers (Tyrone Boyd, Steven Boyd (Diane) and Herbert Adams Jr.), grandchildren (Diana, Jauchai, Jared, Jaren, Jauying, and Derek), along with a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.
My husband and I met Ms. Irma 2020 when we moved next door. Ms. Irma was very friendly and kind. One day of hello turned into a lifetime of conversations and memories. We are going to miss Ms. Irma.
Truly,

Today is Nov 30, 2024. My Prayers and condolences to my extended family. This Saint of God is at Peace in the presence of the Father. Joined in joy with the ancestors.
She’s with “Big Mama” now
I am just finding out that my brave, Jesus loving friend has passed. My Thanksgiving text 2 days ago was not replied to. We have been Prayer Partners and friends for almost 30 years. We left San Antonio in 2001. She headed to Warner Robbins, I headed to Richmond VA. I called her “P.C.”
She loved pork chops and I gave her that nickname. !
Praying all of her family will find comfort knowing that she’s home at last, her heavenly home and that the Lord is always with you too.
Giving all Glory, Honor, and Praise to God for blessed memories.
Sincerely,
Carole Crenshaw
