Harold Richard Little, Sr. was born May 13, 1957 to Harold and Carolyn Little in Bennettsville, South Carolina. He was the first born of five and was raised to know, love, and serve Jesus Christ. He was a member of Hopewell Methodist Church and was baptized at an early age.
Harold grew up with a love for music, singing, and working with his hands; anything from woodwork to gardening. He graduated from McColl High in 1975 and attended Claflin University. He was a member of Esquire Fraternity and thereafter was known as Smooth.
He joined The United States Air Force in 1981 serving in many roles: Military Training Instructor, Pan American Flight Attendant, and Orthopedic Surgical Specialist to name a few.
He met the love of his life, Remethia Winters, in 1983, tied the knot in 1986, and had 3 children, Angela, Harold Jr., and Anitra. Harold joined True Vision Baptist Church and was ordained as a deacon by Pastor Michael S. Brown in 2001. He retired from the Air Force the same year and worked as a Civil Service employee up until his death.
