Gloria Hazel Bean

July 3, 1948 ~ May 14, 2018

Gloria Marie Hazel (Glo) was born to Josephine Wilson and Frank Hazel in July 1948. She grew up on the eastside of San Antonio and Graduated from Phyllis Wheatley High School. After high school she gave birth to 3 young men Freddie, Autrey, and Terry. She lived in Las Vegas for a while where she made a living dancing as a Vegas Showgirl at the Flamingo Hotel and Casino. Some years later she returned back to San Antonio where she worked as the first lady Skycap at the San Antonio International Airport. She accepted Christ at a young age.

She was an active member at the Prince of Peace Baptist Church. She loved modeling, listening to gospel music and fashion. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great grand mother, aunt, cousin and friend to many.

She was preceded in death by her parents Frank Hazel and Josephine Wilson, her brother Austin Hazel, her son Freddie Hubbard, and one great grand son Troy Hubbard.

She leaves to cherish her memory her sons Autrey Hubbard and Terry Hubbard. Grandkids Terrill, Terry Jr., Mary Marie, Keanu, T’Vonsi, A’niyah, Sincere, Si’ an, Mecca, Latoya, Ursula, Alesse, Caresha, Quriah LaFreda, Lil Freddie, Alexis, Paris, Baby Fredrick. As well as great grandkids and a host of family and friends. We love you grandma and we will miss you.

  1. Condolences to the Bean family. Our thoughts and prayers go out to your whole family. Psalms 147:3 says God, “heals the broken hearted, and binds up their wounds.” May God bring you comfort and peace.

  2. When someone dies, many say, “I want to see them again.” The Bible tells us this is possible please read, John 5:28-29. This will happen in the very near future. Please read Revelation 21: 3-4 and notice this fact death will be no more. May this be of comfort to you and your family at the present time and in the future. My condolences to your family.
