Evelyn Marie Jackson was born in Pleasanton Texas, September 16, 1930, to John and Ethel Jackson. She was the eldest of five children. She was raised in a God-fearing home. She worshipped at Jacobs Chapel Methodist Church.
As years progressed, she met the love of her life, Jordan Winters. They married September 24, 1949. To this reunion, they had nine children. Three preceded her in death, Cathy Ann, Marshall Devon, and Melanie (Winters) Brooks.
She joined and was an active member of several Baptist churches, singing for the Lord in choirs, teaching Sunday School, and active in the Minister and Deacon’s Wives Auxiliary.
Most of her life she was a Domestic Engineer. And had a loving heart to everyone she met.
She leaves to cherish in memory, Jordan Jr, Edward (Joyce) Winters, Theresa (Richard) Thompson, Vanessa (Robert) Fears, Remethia Little, and Kevin (Kathy) Winters. Along with a host of grandchildren, great- grandchildren and great-great grandchildren
