Eva Mae Jackson was born on May 19, 1924, to Alice and Viney Edwards of Hutto, Texas. Eva wedded in holy matrimony in Bexar, Co. to Rufus C Jackson on Feb. 1, 1949. She was the youngest girt of three sisters born to fit Al & Viney.
Now, together in heaven, she joins her 2 sisters, (Bessie Lee Harrison & Myrtle Edward Campbell. As a faithful member of her church, Boyd Chapel & Emmanuel A.M.E. she served for a combined total of over 5O years. Before passing she was consecrated and exalted in the A.M.E church as Deaconess by Bishop Vashi Murry McKenzie – 10th Episcopal District during the 14th session.
She completed her coursework at St. Phillips College, to begin working for over '20' years with the San Antonio Independent School District as a Teacher's Assistant. Truly, she loved working with the children as she shared so many wonderful stories of their learning and shared experiences upon her retirement.
She now leaves cherished memories to her two surviving daughters, Joyce A. Jackson Medina, and Cindy Jackson Stiggers; Our love is forever for our sister, her deceased daughter Nelda, and her husband Robert Polite; Our deceased brother, Leslie Edwards; Her grandsons, Prince Jackson (Rhonda); Clifton Stiggers Jr, Jermaine Polite (Shiana), Yancy Daryl Stiggers (Sharayah); A host of Great Grandchildren; Nieces, Nephews, church friends, neighbors, and relatives.
