Elrethia Triplett, affectionately known as “Ruth,” a devoted wife, loving mother, grandmother, and pillar of her community, entered eternal rest on November 23, 2025, at the age of 75. She was born on October 14, 1950, to the late Restar Arvie and Carrie Edwards.
Elrethia shared a beautiful 25-year marriage with her best friend and confidante, Clem Dee Triplett. The two met in 1984 and later united in marriage on January 17, 1997, building a life filled with love, partnership, and unwavering support.
Known for her joyful spirit and positive outlook, Elrethia was a woman of generosity, resilience, and unconditional love. A wonderful cook and a woman of steadfast principles, she lived by the motto: “Whatever you start, you finish.” She was proud of her family and cared deeply for her community.
Her passion for service led her to establish her own non-profit, Elrethia’s House of Purpose, which celebrated its 5-year anniversary in September 2025. Before retiring, she also owned and operated 2 Women Cleaning Service for 13 years. Her dedication and strong work ethic were further reflected in her 15 years as a plant manager at Miller Curtain Company, as well as her small business at the Windsor Park Flea Market, where she sold handmade blankets, pillows, and curtains for two years.
A faithful and devoted member of Place for Life Church for 15 years, Elrethia lived a life grounded in purpose, compassion, and faith.
She leaves to cherish her memory her loving husband, Clem Dee Triplett; her children: Marilyn LeDay (San Antonio, Texas), Rose LeDay-Powell (Robert)(Dallas, Texas), and Jamoll LeDay (Tamisha) (San Antonio, Texas); five grandchildren: Mikayla E. Bostic, Elijah E. Holloway, Jericho T. LeDay, Sinai L. Roberts, and Isiah J. LeDay, Tyrell Miller, and Terashay Miller; two great-grandchildren: Jayven LeDay and Julius LeDay, with a set of twins expected in December 2025, two godchildren: Angela Scott and James Babineux, filling her legacy with love and joy. She is also survived by her sisters: Lou Bertha Winfrey and Lou Hinda Babineux and Ruby Nell Wright along with numerous other loving relatives and cherished friends.
Elrethia is preceded in death by her parents and siblings: Hilbert Arvie, Jeffrey Arvie, Macghafry Arvie, Lillie Mae Arvie.
Elrethia Triplett will be remembered for her strength, her heart for others, and the love she poured into her family and community. Her legacy lives on through all who were blessed to know her; Elrethia’s vibrant spirit and the love she shared with all.
