ELLA V. CRAWFORD

October 24, 1938 ~ May 22, 2020

Mother Ella Varice Crawford was born October 29 1938 in Flatonia, Texas to Roosevelt Williams, Sr. and Lillian Mae LaFond Williams.  She was the youngest of 9 siblings, 7 which preceded her in death.  She accepted the Lord as her personal Savior at an early age attending West End COGIC and Childress Memorial before uniting with Greater Lincoln Park Temple in 1987 now known as The Conquerors Assembly.
 
Mother Ella received her formal education in the San Antonio Independent School District graduating from Wheatley High School in 1958 and later attending St. Phillips College.  Mother Ella received her license from St. Phillips as a Certified Licensed Nurses Aide.  In her field of caring for others, she was employed by the Methodist Hospital for 23 years before retiring to take care of her mother.  She also took care of family and friends to name a few the Bridges family and Mrs. Alma Echols until her own health begin to fail.
 
Mother Ella as she is lovingly called leaves to continue her legacy, her daughter Sheila, son Geoffrey, one brother Eugene Williams, 2 grandsons Ivan Crawford, John Robert (JR) McCullough, 2 great grandchildren Kayla and Kiana, 1 great-great grand child Royal and 1 on the way, and a host nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.

Geoffrey and Shelia, i just found out about Mrs. Crawford.  You have my deepest sympathy.  I will always remember my long conversations with her.  I also won’t forget eating with you on fish stick and French fry day with the special desert she would make.  Mrs Crawford was a beautiful person inside and out.  She was genuine and her smile could melt you.  You all have remained in my heart for over a half a century.  Love you both.  Your lovely Mom will be truly missed.
