DIANNE BARNES

How we will miss the sweet, spunky, and generous spirit of Dianne Robinson Barnes, who departed this life on December 31, 2022.

Dianne was born on February 11, 1955, to William Henry Robinson and the late Rachel Thompson Maloy in Bexar County. Dianne professed her faith at an early age and was baptized at Stranger's Temple Baptist Church. She attended the local school system in San Antonio, Texas, and graduated from George W. Brackenridge High School in 1973. She sought higher education and graduated from Our Lady of the Lake University in San Antonio, Texas with a Bachelors in Speech.

Dianne was joined in Holy Matrimony to Roger Barnes on January 30, 1995. This union was blessed with the birth of one daughter, Shakira Barnes.

Dianne is preceded in death by her stepfather Earnest Maloy, Mother Rachel Maloy, and grandparents Walter and Ruby Thompson. She leaves to cherish her memory: her husband for 27 years, Roger Barnes; her loving daughter, Shakira Barnes; her adored grand-cat, Mina Barnes; her cousins Quinisha Daw, Gavine Clark, Ruben Clark, and Telvine Daw, whom were regarded as her niece and nephews; and a host of relatives, beloved friends, and acquaintances.
