Daryl Murphy was born in Detroit, Michigan to William Murphy and Linda Hawkins on Jan. 3, 1971. Daryl was called home by his Heavenly Father on Thursday July 30, 2020.

 He attended Elementary Schools in Detroit, Michigan; he moved to North Carolina  where he attended West Craven High School.  He later returned to Detroit and graduated from MacKenzie High School. He went on to further his education at Ferris State University and Wayne County Community College of Detroit, Michigan.

Daryl Married Sharon Whyte on August 9, 2013

Daryl began his Professional  Career at Wal-Mart for several years.  He also worked as a Lead, Youth Development Operations at Hector Garza Treatment Center in San Antonio, TX. 
He accepted Christ at an early age and was a Member of Greater Grace Temple of Detroit.  Later moving to Greater King David Baptist Church, of Baton Rouge, LA. Leaving there joining Resurrection Baptist Church of Schertz, TX. on April 12, 2011.  He was a member Of the Ushers Ministry.

He is survived by his wife Sharon of 7 years.  He had daughter Macenie, son Avion, son  Nykese, son Zidane, three grand children Tyler, Kemario and  Quinton, father William Murphy, mother Linda Hawkins.

He also leaves to mourn his passing, a host of other relatives and friends.

 

Due to the current Coronavirus pandemic, the funeral service and interment will be private.

  2. Linda, it just doesn’t seem like your baby is 49, how can that be, I’m only 39 and holding on to it, lol. anyway I love you, and wish I could be there with you. My prayers will reach you, love you and All the family, Mary & Denise Watt, Detroit

Sharon, God bless you and your family during this difficult time.  I am one of Daryl’s cousins and his father’s first cousin from North Carolina.  Daryl was one of my favorite cousins because he reminded me of our grandfather, Joseph Leary, the most of all of his grandchildren.  Although we have never met, know that you have many family members in North Carolina praying for you and your family at this time.  May faith and fond memories comfort you.  Jay and Ann Fonville
