Darlene Hartfield

Darlene Satberry Hartfield was born in San Antonio, TX to Naomi and Allen Joe Satberry, April 6, 1958 (Resurrection Day). She accepted Christ at Trinity Baptist Church under the leadership of Rev. John A. Hall, in San Antonio, TX on Martin Luther King Street. Darlene received her education at Highlands High School. 

Darlene met Leonard Hartfield at the age of 14 yrs of age and went on to marry the love of her life, August 22, 1977. They shared almost 41 yrs of life together and shared special names for one another (husband & squeeze). To their reunion were two beautiful girls, Lashonn, & Alisa, and later joined their handsome youngest son, Cortney McGarity. 

Darlene was a loving, caring, and giving individual that enjoyed her family. She was elated to sit on the porch with her husband and share their day. She enjoyed spending time with her children and grandchildren. Darlene loved fishing with her husband and family in her spare time. She was a hard worker that dedicated 18 years at Brook Army Medical Center with Department of Defense. She was filled with life and lived life to its fullest.

On April 1, 2018 (Resurrection Day), Darlene was called home to be with her maker, Our Heavenly Father at the age of fifty-nine-years old. She will be reunited with her parents, Naomi and Allen Joe Satberry, and her oldest brother, Joe Allen Satberry; Nephew, Demone Satberry. She leaves to cherish her memory her loving husband, Leonard Hartfield; two brothers, Calvin (Ann) and Mark Anthony Satberry, and sister, Irma Jean Satberry. She leaves two daughters, Lashonn Hartfield and Alisa Hartfield-Cordero; son, Cortney McGarity; son-n-law, Jose Cordero; grandkids, nephew, and, God children. Three special aunts, Maggie Ellison Thompson, Johnetta Ellison, and Josephine Valentine; Uncle Willie Ellison. In addition, she leaves a host of nephews, nieces, cousins, family, and friends.
