CYNTHIA DENISE CRAWFORD
February 9, 1963 ~ April 19, 2024
Cynthia Denise Crawford,61, of San Antonio, lost her battle with cancer on April 19,2024, leaving a void her family cannot fill. She was born to Mary K. Brown and Lawrence Denley Sr., Feb. 9,1963 in Weimar, TX. Cynthia graduated from Sam Houston High School, class of ’81. She later attended Wayland Baptist University, where she was pursuing a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Mgmt. but was halted due to her health. She was baptized at an early age and served many years at Greater Pilgrim Rest Baptist Church in Seguin, TX under the leadership of Rev. George E. Brown. In 2022 she became a member of Coliseum Park Baptist Church in San Antonio, TX.
Cynthia was a devoted mother and is survived by her children (“Jhir3”) Jhirmyron (Tianna), Jhirmesia (Detrick), Jhirnai (Isaac) and Samuel (Baby Sam). She took special pride in being a Maw Maw and gracefully exalted about her grandbabies. Kayla, Kamyah, Kayden, SyJenique, Savanny, Sam Jr and Kai’dyn.
Her parents Mary K. Brown and Lawrence Denley Sr. (Rose) and siblings Ernest “Troy” (Amanda), Clyde, Gwendolyn “Monique” (Tony), Kimberly Denley, Lawrence Denley Jr. (Tracy) and bonus siblings Mary (Jeffrey), Dwayne, and Brenda, along with a host of nieces, nephews, extended family and friends who will never forget the love she brought to their lives.
She is preceded in death by her grandmother Vivian Crawford, dad Rev. George E. Brown and longtime partner Samuel L. Jones (SL).
Cynthia was a God-fearing woman with a natural talent for interior design. She had the remarkable ability to turn simple materials like strings, flowers and mirrors into masterpieces. Known for her love of elephants and creativity, Cynthia’s artistic touch brought admiration and inspiration to all who knew.

One of Cynthia’s favorite sayings was, “Give me my flowers while I’m still here,” reflecting her belief in expressing appreciation and love while it can still be cherished. She lived by this philosophy, always ready to provide shelter, nourishment, transportation, or a dose of much needed wisdom to those around her, whether you wanted to hear it or not.
Cynthia’s good heart and fearless spirit made her a force to be reckoned with. The road to glory was not always easy in life but she never backed down, relying on her unwavering faith in God and the courage of a million men to overcome any obstacle in her path.
Cynthia’s legacy of love, strength and laughter will forever be remembered by those who were fortunate enough to know her.

To the Crawford Family: I am so sorry for your loss. i have been knowing Cynthia since we were in 6th grade. She is a very nice and special person. Cynthia we all love you but God loves you best. I remember when I first met your mom, you guys were little children. I met her through your grandmother, but your mom was very friendly and had a beautiful smile. She will be missed by many.
