CHARLES EDWARD HOLLAND

Charles Edward Holland Sr. 70, Returned to his heavenly home October 7, 2022.

Charles Edward Holland was born September 10, 1952, in San Antonio Texas to Alma Dean Holland and Eddie Holland where he was the eldest of 10 children. He attended Sam Houston High School where he participated in ROTC & Choir. Charles married his former wife, Dorothy Ward, for 33 years, and began starting a beautiful family. After graduating high school, Charles was the first of his family to attend college. While attending St. Phillips College, Charles learned how to become a great cook from his father and by assisting the chef at the restaurants he worked at. He would continue a career in the restaurant industry becoming a Head Cook at IHOP. Through his hard work & dedication, Charles became a manager and then promoted to District Coordinator of all IHOPs in Texas and Colorado. Charles was highly recognized and respected in his career field. His dream was to own his own restaurant one day.

Charles was a father who took pride in providing for his family. He enjoyed taking his family on adventures such as camping, snowboarding in Colorado and going to the beach often. Charles also enjoyed the company of his entire family. In his past time, he enjoyed talking with family members and friends about the good times. His favorite shows were Adam-12, MASH, A Team, and Perry Mason. His favorite basketball team was his beloved San Antonio Spurs.

Charles was a very generous giver and had a great sense of humor. Many would describe him as personable, relatable and a true leader who valued respect and hard work. Charles was a devoted father who loved his children so much. His children were his pride & joy. He told them how much he loved them and how proud of them he was, as often as he could.

Charles is survived by Son-Michael Brian Holland Sr. & Daughters-Sharlene Alaina Neuls & Christina Elyce Holland. His 4 Grandchildren, Granddaughter Kamilah Amerie Holland & Grandsons, Michael Brian Holland Jr., Nathan James Neuls Jr., & Major Bryce Holland. His siblings remain Eddie Holland, Barbara Ann Turner, Debra Stewart, Eddie Leon Holland, Leandrew Holland, Yvonne Kerley, Stephanie Wine, Terry Johnson, Pamela Thompson, & Kennith Odell Holland and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, uncles and dear friends. Charles is preceded in death by his Son in heaven Charles Edward Holland Jr., Mother Alma Dean Holland, Father Eddie Lee Holland, & brother Marcus Holland.
