CAREY JAMES

On September 22, 1961, in New Orleans, Louisiana, Carey Lionel James was born one of three brothers and two sisters to the union of Milton C. James Sr. and Jean E. James.

As time passed, the family grew to add four stepbrothers and three stepsisters.

Carey graduated from Phillis Wheatley High School in San Antonio, Texas. He was a man who enjoyed working with his hands. His passion included construction work, mechanic work, moving furniture, and cooking. Which to say, he was a great cook, especially when it came to Barbecue.

Carey was a man of few words, a tranquil soul, observant and protective of the ones he loved for the most part, but he had no problem expressing himself in various ways. You either knew him as the soft-spoken man or the quiet storm. Those who truly knew him, the last memory he would want you to remember him by is that he was only here to protect you whenever you called. Carey is preceded in death by his parents Jean E. James, Ethel V. James, Milton C. James Sr. and brothers Kenneth and Karlon Meadows. Carey Lionel James leaves to cherish his memories brothers and sisters, Larry D. James, Milton C.
