Brenda Hooper

Brenda Joyce Hooper entered eternal rest on February 3, 2026, at the age of 70. She was born on June 24, 1955, in Los Angeles, California, to the late Robert Daniel Coe Sr. and Claudia Coe.

Brenda was a loving and nurturing mother and a devoted, supportive military wife. She shared 40 years of marriage with her beloved husband, William Alren Hooper Sr. As part of a military family, Brenda traveled extensively, living in Germany, Virginia, Georgia, and Washington State, embracing each place with grace and resilience.

She worked faithfully for many years in the banking industry as a teller and later continued her strong work ethic in retail, where she held her final position as a cashier.

Brenda possessed a gentle and creative spirit. She enjoyed drawing, sewing, and arts and crafts, and she found joy in listening to music and cooking a variety of meals for those she loved. She attended Prairie View A&M University, where she studied business and proudly embraced her time as a Black Fox.

She was preceded in death by her parents and her brother, Robert Calvin Coe.

Brenda leaves to cherish her memory her loving children, William Alren Hooper Jr. and LaShaunda Donyelle Hooper (Ellis Whittington). Though she did not have the opportunity to become a grandmother, she deeply cherished her family. She is also survived by her siblings: Marvin Hill (Diane), Beverly Galloway, Vickie Robinson, and Robin Grant, along with a host of nieces, nephews, relatives, and dear friends who will forever hold her memory in their hearts.
