Our beloved, loving mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, and dear friend, Audrey Lee McIntyre, entered eternal rest on March 10, 2026, at the age of 91.
Audrey was born on February 3, 1935, in Cuero, Texas, to the late Mitchell and Olivia Johnson. She lived a life filled with love, service, and dedication to her family and community.
Audrey devoted more than 40 years of her life to the nursing profession, working as a Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN). Her caring spirit and compassionate nature touched the lives of many patients and families throughout her years of service.
She was united in marriage to the love of her life, Vermice McIntyre Sr., in 1957. Together they shared a beautiful and loving union until his passing in 2007.
Audrey enjoyed the simple joys of life. She loved flowers and gardening, especially the many shrimp plants that surrounded her home. She also enjoyed cooking for her family, doing crafts, watching wrestling, and her favorite color was red.
She leaves to cherish her precious memory her sons: Emil Johnson (Rhonda) of Maryland and Vermice McIntyre Jr. (Linda) of Texas; five grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild; along with numerous other relatives and dear friends who will miss her deeply.
