Asmar Bakeer Wash, age 44, passed away on August 9, 2025, in San Antonio, Texas, with his loving family by his side. He was born on September 29, 1980, in San Antonio, Texas, to the late parents: LeRoy Gildon and Anita Wash.
Asmar met and married the love of his life, Bransha Wash, whom he recently wed on July 29, 2025. Although their marriage was recent, they shared a beautiful 25-year union together, raising their two beloved children: Azieara Wash and Asmar Wash Jr.
A devoted husband, loving father, and supportive brother, Asmar was known for his kind heart, strong leadership, and unwavering dedication to his family and friends. He was a proud graduate of Highlands High School, Class of 2000, where he excelled as an athlete and played football. A die-hard Dallas Cowboys fan, he carried his passion for the sport far beyond the field.
Asmar worked for many years with 4M Building Solutions as a Field Supervisor, where his hard work, leadership, and integrity earned the respect of his colleagues. He was a true role model who inspired those around him through his determination, generosity, and love for life.
He is preceded in death by his parents: LeRoy Gildon and Anita Wash, grandparents, and his brother-in-law, Alex Green.
He leaves to cherish his memory: his loving wife, Bransha Wash; his children, Azieara Wash and Asmar Wash Jr.; sisters, Yvette Green, Jasmine Wash, Justina Wash, and Tamara Gildon; brothers, Nathan Wash, LeRoy Gildon, Vamour Wash, Shannon Wash (Melissa), and Adam Wash; mother-in-law, Alfrieda Girdy; brothers-in-law, Alfred Hill (Shelby), Baron Hill (Lorie), Mykeeze Girdy, and John Girdy; and numerous other close relatives and friends.
Asmar’s life was one of love, strength, and loyalty. He will be deeply missed and forever remembered by all whose lives he touched.
