On July 13, 2024 Andrea Renae Mullen, 45, moved to her eternal home after battling with health issues since late December, 2023 when she suffered a massive heart attack. She fought long and hard but now is at peace and no longer suffers.
Born on March 1, 1979 to parents Dorothy Jean Jones Mullen and Bruce Arnold Mullen in San Antonio, Texas, Renae was their second child, joining older brother, Christopher, in the family. She graduated from Sam Houston High School and attended what is now Texas State University and Career Point School of Nursing. She worked several jobs, but her primary employment was in healthcare.
A loving single parent of three, Renae is survived by Hallie Ty’Jeanae Harris, Haydin Lamont Harris, and Nevaeh Christine Harris. Before her passing Renae was able to meet Nevaeh's infant son, her first grandchild, Ezramiah. She leaves behind numerous family and friends that loved and cared for her and her children. In these includes, her Godmother, Patricia Garland, best friend of 30 years Nora Mardi-Williams, her brother and his wife, as well as many others. She was preceded in death by her parents, and grandparents.
Cremation arrangements are being handled by Lewis Funeral Home. A celebration of life service will be held on July 28th, 2024. This will be held from 2pm to 6pm at The Mustang Lounge which is located at 104 Daniels Road, San Antonio Tx, 78220. In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorials be made directly to the family or organizations that help the homeless such as San Antonio’s Haven for Hope, San Antonio Metropolitan Ministries, The Salvation Army or a charity of your choice. “
