Oh Phonsie… I really wish the good Lord didn’t need you so soon. I’m so grateful I had the chance to work with you and build such a great friendship. You always had me laughing, and you always knew exactly what to say. You were truly an amazing person, and my heart hurts knowing you’re no longer here. I know you’re in a better place, looking down on us. You will be forever missed.

Alphonso Lee Jones was born in Hopewell, Virginia on February 28, 1959 to Blanche James. His parents preceded him in death, Herman and Helen Jones. Alphonso Jones was married to Sheron Crump. Together they have two children. Alphonso served 20 years in the Air Force, retiring in 1998. After his military service, he became a Civil Servant for over 20+ years until his untimely passing. He is survived by Sheron, Alphonso II (his wife Yolanda), and Sha’rel Jones, his mother Blanche James, sisters, brother, nieces, nephews, aunt, in-laws and many cousins, friends and coworkers. He will be greatly missed and forever loved.
