Memories Timeline

Guestbook

  1. I met Franzell in 1992 when I first got to San Antonio though Shelley And Porter while I was working at the hospital. I can remember when I first met him it was as dough we had known each other for a long time. He invited me over to his house and that was when I first met his wife. We have been friends ever since, I will miss him very much. But I know he is looking down on me with all his wisdom and jokes.

  2. Ernie and Sharon Small offer sincere condolences to Vivian Pankey and family. We have known the Pankey’s for many years through church and numerous after church meals at Luby’s. The conversations were always meaningful and enjoyable and Franzell always shared his knowledge willingly. He will be dearly missed.

  3. My condolences to the Pankey family. Franzell was one of my dads (Van Slaughter) best friends at Cleveland High. Franzell made a visit up here to Seattle this past fall to visit my dad at home and had lunch. It was good see him. Rest well

  4. To Mrs. Vivian and the Pankey family my deepest condolences. PM Pankey had a big impact on my life from the time I arrived in San Antonio. He was one of my mentors, role model and a brother.
I shall miss him greatly. May the grace of the Lord be with you during this time.

    God bless, Dewayne Thomas

  5. To Sister Vivian Pankey and the Pankey family. Alicia and I send our condolences and deepest sympathy to the Pankey family. Bro Pankey was a good man and Masonic Brother who truly believed in the Lord. He will be deeply missed. I served with him on the Grace First Baptist Church Usher’s Ministry, and he always had a smile on his face and great advice. We would often discuss many different subjects together and our conversations would always end on one accord. To the family, remember that weeping may endure for a night, but joy comes in the morning. Our prayer is that God bless, keep and strengthen your family during this difficult time and in the days ahead. Wishing you all the best and Godspeed!

  6. Vivian, I am so sorry for your loss. You will definitely be in my thoughts and prayers. Franzell will forever live in our hearts. Love always, Kim Slaughter

  7. I worked with Franzell at HUD, selling foreclosed homes and we used to go fishing together at Choke Canyon Lake. I met Vivian and many of his family over the years and heard Franzell talk so fondly of all of you on a regular basis. He was rightly proud of his children and grandchildren and all they had accomplished. Franzell was a very self-disciplined person who lived his life according to a set of values that included devotion to the Lord. I will miss him greatly.

  8. Franzell. You were a great friend of 65 years. I am truly going to miss our talks and the check ups on one another. You were definitely one of a kind. Vivian, I will be keeping in touch with you and I am terribly sorry for your loss!

    Love, van
