Henry Gallon Sr., a retired First Sergeant (1SG) of the United States Army who honorably served his country for more than 20 years, passed away on May 28, 2026, at the age of 86.

Born on November 25, 1939, in Donaldsonville, Louisiana, Henry was the son of the late Lawrence Gallon Sr. and Alberta Thompson.

Henry was a devoted husband who shared a beautiful 52-year union with the love of his life, Azalea. Together they built a loving family. His commitment to family was the foundation of his life, and he took great pride in the accomplishments and happiness of his family.

A faithful servant of God, Henry was a longtime member and deacon of New Covenant Missionary Baptist Church. He was respected for his steadfast faith, compassionate spirit, and willingness to serve others.

Henry was also an avid fan of the San Antonio Spurs and enjoyed sharing his enthusiasm for the team with family and friends. He had a special talent for tailoring and found great joy in teaching the craft to others, passing along valuable skills and wisdom through the years.

He will be remembered as a devoted husband, loving father and grandfather, caring brother, loyal friend, and mentor to many whose lives he touched.
He leaves to cherish his memory: his beloved wife, Azalea Gallon; his children, Danielle Gallon, Anthony Gallon, Richard Gallon (Pam), Henry Gallon Jr., and Paula Gallon; his grandchildren; great-grandchildren; and a host of other loving relatives and dear friends.

His legacy of faith, service, love, and dedication to family will remain in the hearts of all who knew and loved him.
“Well done, good and faithful servant.” — Matthew 25:23
