Clarence Baines
Funeral Home Manager; FD/Emb
Clarence has been associated with Lewis Funeral Home since the 1970’s and has been a licensed Funeral Director and Embalmer since 1978.
He was born in Wharton, Texas and graduated from Brackenridge High School in 1975. He began working for the funeral home at a very early age. Upon graduating from high school, it was known that he wanted to continue working in the funeral business. Therefore, he attended San Antonio College and enrolled in their Mortuary Science Program. He completed the course, passed the State Board Exam and received his Funeral Director and Mortician License. In April 2002, he was promoted to manager of Lewis Funeral Home.
He has directed many funerals throughout the years. He is a mentor to mortuary science students who are assigned to the funeral home. In addition, he does a weekly community broadcast service on the local KCHL radio station.
He is a member of Epsilon Nu Delta Mortuary Fraternity and has served as the president of the Alamo Funeral Directors Association.
He is married to Marie and they live in San Antonio.

Tony R. Hendricks
Funeral Home Manager; FD
Tony is a native of San Antonio. All of his schooling was here in San Antonio. He graduated from East Central High School and later attended San Antonio College where he enrolled in the Mortuary Science Program.
While attending this college he began working for Lewis Funeral Home. Upon graduation he passed the National Board exam and received his Funeral Director’s license. He has served as a full time Funeral Director for over 16 years.
In 2009 he was named the Chief Operating Officer for Lewis Funeral Home. He is committed to providing people with helpful information and experienced guidance.
In 2014 Tony received the Man of the Year Award from the Independent Funeral Directors Association of Texas, Inc. He is currently the Vice-President of that association. He is also a member of the National Funeral Directors and Mortician Association, Inc. and in 2015 he received the Governor’s Award District VI for the National.
He also does a community service radio program on KCHL Broadcast and participates in many of the public schools career day programs.
He resides in San Antonio with his wife Ronnette.

Johnny C. Mosely
Funeral Director/Embalmer
Johnny C. Mosely is native to San Antonio, Texas. At an early age he knew what he wanted to do in life. He aspired to be a Mortician, just like his hero, his Father. Johnny graduated from Sam Houston High School and began his journey into the Funeral business by working at Lewis Funeral Home in 1987. He went on to receive his Associates Degree in Mortuary Science from San Antonio College in 1992, where he also obtained his license as an Embalmer and Funeral Director.
Through perseverance, dedication, and perfecting his craft for 35 plus years, Johnny has been a trailblazer in the funeral home community. He is a past president of the Alpha Iota Chapter of Epsilon Nu Delta. He's an active member of Independent Funeral Directors Association INC. In his spare time, Johnny is also a dedicated member of several organizations. He is a Past Master of BlueBonnet Lodge #192, a 32nd Degree Mason, and a member of Moussa Temple #106 (Prince Hall Shriners).
Lewis Funeral Home has been a pillar in the African American community for many years. This is where Johnny mentors many young men and women in this classic craft that has always been so dear to his heart.
Johnny is located in San Antonio with his wife Chris and family.

Desiree Marshall
Funeral Director/Embalmer
Born and raised in Los Angeles, CA, Desiree moved to San Antonio in 2006. After an 18-year career with MAC Cosmetics as a District Manager, Desiree began her initial employment with Lewis Funeral Home in 2013. In 2015, she graduated with honors from San Antonio College where she received her Associates Degree in Mortuary Science. Today, she is a licensed Funeral Director and Embalmer. Along with serving families, “Des” enjoys watching scary movies and spending time with her two rescued fur babies, Theo & Archie.

Whitney Watson
Funeral Director
Whitney Watson, a native Missourian, was born and raised in St. Louis, Missouri. Whitney decided to pursue new adventures in a new city and relocated to San Antonio, Texas in 2014.
She attended Forest Park Community College in 2010, graduating with an Associate’s degree in Applied Science. Whitney has been actively practicing as a licensed Funeral Director and Embalmer for 10 years.
In addition to her funeral service career, she holds a Bachelor’s degree in Business Management and Marketing, as well as her cosmetology license.
Whitney has a mutual love for working on DIY projects, arts & crafts, reading, cooking, baking, sewing, and traveling.
The thing in life that makes her happier than sparkles is spending every moment with her only daughter. She is also a health enthusiast, and fitness and health are two important components of her daily lifestyle.

Sharon Foote
Sr. Administrative Assistant
Sharon Foote was born in Athens, GA., and relocated to San Antonio in 1974. She attended St. Phillips College here in San Antonio. Sharon is the mother of two and has worked for Lewis Funeral Home since 2003. Currently she serves Lewis Funeral Home in the capacity of the Senior Administrative Assistant to the staff.
