Malcolm was preceded in death by his beloved parents, Slyvester Dalton Monroe and Juanita Gandy Monroe, and his two brothers, Dalton Monroe and Allen Monroe.
Malcolm was a man who had a special way of connecting with people. Known as a friend to everyone, he never met a stranger. His warm personality and friendly spirit made it easy for him to form lasting friendships wherever he went. He had a genuine love for people and brought joy to those fortunate enough to know him.
In his spare time, Malcolm enjoyed watching the San Antonio Spurs, appreciating automobiles, and listening to music. These interests brought him happiness and gave him many opportunities to share good times and conversations with family and friends. His love for life and his ability to make others feel welcome were among the qualities that made him so special.
Malcolm was also a member of True Vision Church, where he was connected to a community of faith.
He leaves to cherish his precious memory, his beloved son, McKee Desi Long; his grandchildren; his nieces, Jodi and Dana; his nephew, Allen; his cousin, Eddie Ansari; and his best friend, Ronney Stevens. He also leaves a host of dear friends and loved ones who will forever treasure the memories they shared with him.
Though Malcolm has departed this earthly life, the impact he made through his kindness, friendships, and love for others will never be forgotten.
His presence will be deeply missed, but his memory will continue to live on in the hearts of his family, friends, and all those whose lives he touched.
Rest in peace, Malcolm James Monroe. Your journey here is complete, but the memories, laughter, and friendships you leave behind will remain forever.
