James Louis Wallace was born on May 3, 1947, in Floresville, Texas. He was a beloved husband, father, family member, and friend whose life was marked by service, dedication, and a willingness to lend his talents to others. He departed this life on August 26, 2026, leaving behind cherished memories that will forever remain in the hearts of those who knew and loved him.
James proudly served his country in the United States Army. After completing his military service, he continued a life of dedication and hard work through his career in Civil Service, where he eventually retired. His commitment to serving others was a reflection of the strength, discipline, and perseverance he carried throughout his life.
James had a natural talent for working with his hands, and one of his favorite hobbies was small engine repair. He enjoyed taking things apart, figuring out how they worked, and putting them back together. His skills, patience, and willingness to help made this more than a hobby—it was one of the many ways he shared his gifts with others. He was preceded in death by his parents Aaron and Maxine Brown, 3 brothers, 2 nephews and a niece.
James was united in marriage to his beloved wife, Andrea, who shared many years of love and memories with him.
He leaves to cherish his memory his brother, Daniel Brown (Rita); his sisters, Gloria Fleming (Calvin) and Lu Ellis; his sons, James Brownloe (Charlene); Jody Williams (Pam); daughter Garnette Williams and a host of nieces, nephews, relatives, and his special friend and buddy Fred Laurel who will forever treasure the memories they shared with him.
Though James is no longer with us in body, his life, his service, his kindness, and the memories he created will continue to live on through his family and all those who had the privilege of knowing him.
May his memory be a blessing, and may he rest peacefully.
