May the Lord thee author and finisher of our faith, continue to cover the Brown family during this time of loss. The spirit of Bridget lives on in hearts and minds of those of us that were touched by her presence. Let us all remember that only God knows how long we have to be present in the flesh. Our beloved, Bridget Denise Brown, entered eternal rest on August 8, 2026, at the age of 63. Bridget was born on August 20, 1962, in San Antonio, Texas, to Willie D. Brown and Leola V. Sanders.
Bridget was educated in the San Antonio school system and was a proud graduate of the Sam Houston High School Class of 1980.
Bridget was a talented and hardworking woman who dedicated more than 30 years to the art of cosmetology, becoming a licensed cosmetologist and sharing her gift with many throughout the years. She also operated her own private cleaning business. She was well known and respected for both of her crafts, always taking pride in her work and in helping others.
She was a loving, caring, and determined person. She had a heart for helping those around her and was never one to accept the words, “You can’t do that.” If someone told Bridget she could not do something, she would find a way to prove that she could. Her strength, independence, sense of humor, and fun-loving spirit made her truly special to all who knew her.
Bridget was a faithful member of St. Stephens Baptist Church. She was also blessed to share a loving 30-year relationship with her companion, Isaiah Hockley Jr. Bridget never had children of her own, but she touched the lives of countless relatives, friends, and loved ones through her generosity, love, and presence.
Bridget was greeted in heaven by her beloved grandmother, Emily Sanders; her aunt, Lois Hardin; and her brothers, Gregory Brown and Charles Brown.
She leaves to cherish her beloved mother, Leola Brown; her father, Willie D. Brown; her sister, Jurita L. Brown; her companion of 30 years, Isaiah Hockley Jr.; and numerous other cherished relatives, friends, and loved ones.
Though Bridget has entered her eternal rest, the love she gave, the lives she touched, and the memories she created will remain in the hearts of all who knew and loved her.
Rest peacefully, Bridget. Your work here is done. Your love will live on forever.
