Mary Louise Wilson, age 86, peacefully entered into eternal rest on July 21, 2026. She leaves behind a legacy of faith, love, wisdom, and grace that will continue to inspire all who knew and loved her.

Mary was born on August 11, 1939, in Tuscaloosa, Alabama. She attended Druid High School where her passion and love of music began. Mary was an exceptional clarinetist which she showcased in her high school marching band. After graduating from high school she returned and worked as their secretary with great pride before she attended Stillman College in 1956, before later earning her degree from Blair College in Colorado Springs, Colorado. After marrying the love of her life, Preston Wilson, in 1958, the couple began a journey together that took them from Fort Polk, Louisiana, to Fort Hood, Texas, and eventually to Colorado Springs, Colorado, where they built a life and raised their family.

Throughout her career, Mary demonstrated exceptional intelligence, professionalism, and dedication. She worked as a legal secretary, using her shorthand skills at a law firm, later served with the United States Post Office, Mary also worked for Hilliard Packer where she worked with great passion and retired from. In addition to her professional accomplishments, Mary found great joy in teaching music and sharing her gift.

Mary was a remarkably sharp and intelligent woman whose kindness, elegance, and strength touched everyone she met. She enjoyed the outdoors with her family and after retirement her and her husband spent it in their motorhome snowbirding embracing every opportunity to explore and create lasting memories with one another. Mary was also an outstanding cook whose meals brought family together and a wonderful dancer who never missed the chance to enjoy good music. She especially loved gospel music and the timeless sounds of classic Motown.

Mary leaves behind her devoted husband, Preston Wilson; her beloved sons James Wilson and Derek Wilson; her cherished daughter, Erica Wilson; her grandchildren; her great-grandchildren; and a host of extended family members and dear friends who will forever treasure the love and joy she brought into their lives.

Although our hearts are heavy with sorrow, we find comfort in the beautiful memories Mary leaves behind. She will forever live in our hearts, shine through our laughter, and remain present in the countless lives she touched. We rejoice in knowing that she now rests peacefully in God’s loving arms, reunited with everlasting peace and eternal love.

Her life was a blessing, her memory a treasure, and her love a gift that will remain with us always.
