Marion , IN

San Antonio, TX
Colette Rene Goggins was born on March 30, 1960, to Gloria Jean Bass and James Edward Bass. On June 18, 2026, she peacefully entered eternal rest, leaving behind a legacy of love, laughter, and cherished memories.
Colette was a graduate of South San High School. She went on to build a successful career at Lackland Air Force Base for over 38 years as a Registrar with the 344th Training Squadron and at DLI, where she served with dedication. Her commitment to her work and her warm spirit left a lasting impression on all who knew her.
Colette was known for her vibrant personality and her ability to make friends wherever she went. A true social butterfly, she never met a stranger and had a special gift for making everyone feel welcome. From the head of the company to the janitor, she treated everyone the same. She enjoyed spending time at the casino, listening to music, and creating joyful memories with family and friends; especially her grandkids. Her favorite color was yellow, a reflection of the bright and cheerful light she brought into the lives of others.
Her faith was an important part of her life, and she often reminded those around her, “We’re just visitors here.” These simple yet profound words reflected her understanding of life’s journey and her belief in something greater beyond this world.
Colette was preceded in death by her beloved parents, Gloria Jean Bass and James Edward Bass, and her partner in life, Gilbert “Boo Boo” Mulkey.
She leaves to cherish her memory her loving children, Mimi Nielsen (Lars), Moses Mulkey, Dominic Mulkey (Samantha), and Reginald Mulkey; her devoted siblings, Dominic Bass and Yolanda Bass; numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren; and a host of extended family members, friends, and loved ones who will forever treasure the time they shared with her.
Though her presence will be deeply missed, the love, laughter, and kindness she shared will continue to live on in the hearts of all who knew and loved her.
“I have fought a good fight, I have finished my course, I have kept the faith.”
