Crystal Beatrice Ijeoma Nlemadim

Crystal Beatrice Ijeoma Nlemadim, 34, of Kyle, Texas, passed away peacefully on May 30, 2026, surrounded by her immediate family. She was born on Mother’s Day, May 13, 1992, and grew up in San Antonio, Texas.

Crystal loved God, her family, her niece, her friends, and avocados. She was a ray of sunshine with an infectious smile that lit up every room she walked into. She was selfless and genuine, always pouring into her relationships with a love that made everyone around her feel truly seen and valued. She was the life of every gathering and never left without making a new friend, or several. She could talk to anybody. She was a positive person through and through, always sharing uplifting quotes and messages with the people she loved. Crystal was baptized at the age of 10 at Leon valley Baptist Church.

She graduated in 2008 from Earl Warren High School in the top 10% of her class, earning a full academic scholarship to the University of Texas at Austin, which she was extremely proud of. She went on to earn her Bachelor of Business Administration in Finance from Texas A&M University-San Antonio. Crystal worked in the customer service and insurance industry. She was smart, good with people, great with numbers, and good in sales. She carried her warmth and care into everything she did professionally.”

She loved trying new foods, a good brunch, reading, hiking, being outside, and taking pictures. She loved hosting, planning little get-togethers, and making up party games for everyone to play. She was dedicated to fitness and went through an incredible season of losing over 120 pounds, a journey that inspired those around her to never give up. Once she got into the routine of working out, she truly enjoyed it, smiling and laughing as she walked into the gym. She had a well-known obsession with avocados that no one quite understood, but whether it was sushi, tacos, or anything in between, a side of avocado was non-negotiable. If it was avocado-themed, she was buying it. She loved everything green, beige, and gold, and those who knew her will forever associate these colors with her spirit. She always had a cute pair of different-colored glasses to match her outfit.

Above all, Crystal loved her people fiercely. She adored her first and only niece, Arianna, and showed up for every milestone without fail. She didn’t stop there. She became “Aunty Crystal” to her niece’s friends and her own friends’ children too. Her heart had no limits. If she wasn’t seeing the people she cared about in person, she was on a call, a FaceTime, or finding some way to stay connected. Even when she was busy or had her own issues going on, she always had time to listen and simply be there. She was a really great friend. She was a woman of Christian faith and loved attending church and being in the house of the Lord with family and friends.

Crystal is survived by her loving parents, Dr. Alma Ingram and Mr. Edward O. Nlemadim; her older brother and sister, Edmund D. Nlemadim and Altrice N. Nlemadim; her younger brother, Andrew G. Nlemadim; her sister-in-law, Arielle B. Nlemadim; and her beloved niece, Arianna A. Nlemadim and Pastor Forrest Jones. She is also survived by her dear friends who were like family, including her roommate, Monse, and her close friends Ashli, Darian, Edith, Maecla, and Maricela, along with countless others whose lives she touched. She was preceded in death by her maternal and paternal grandparents, her infant twin brothers, and her uncles.

Crystal will be remembered for the way she made people feel: loved, seen, and cherished, like they were the most important person in the room. It was a rare gift. Her light, her laughter, and her love for people and avocados will live on in the hearts of everyone who was blessed to know her.
