Memories Timeline

Guestbook

  1. My family lived across the street from Jewel on Belmont during my high school years. I remember her kindness as we were growing up. RIP Jewel. My condolences to your family.

  2. Jewel Brown and I were best friends at Brackenridge High School in San Antonio, Texas. We ate lunch together, in study hall together and rode the bus home in the evenings. Wiona Bowens, Kathy & Debra Holmes and families were all neighborhood friends. We went to the senior prom together with then boyfriends, Larry (Pockets) & Jewel and me and Cedric Chandler. We even had matching prom dresses. Jewel was also in my wedding in 1975 and after that we lost touch with one another (only hearing communication from mutual friends). Jewel later sent me a picture of her beautiful daughter,Tiffany (about 9 mos. old) in whom I’ve never met.
To Darlene, Herbert, LaPaula & Tiffany our deepest sympathy and condolences go out to the family. It was my sincere wishes to attend the services, but weather wouldn’t permit. So to my high school friend, and Soror, my prayer is that we will meet at our eternal home with the Lord. Joyce Beck Chandler 713-412-7956
